BayWa r.e. expands its business activities in the renewables O&M market in Italy

BayWa r.e. acquired a 100% interest in Solesa Engineering S.r.l., an operation and maintenance (O&M) service provider in Italy with a portfolio of about 27 MW. This is a further step by BayWa r.e. in its expansion of the business activities in the renewables O&M market in Italy. The acquisition took place in December.

BayWa r.e. has about 1.5 GW of renewable energy under operations management worldwide and strategic growth plans in Italy. With over 240 MW of solar and wind assets under service, the company is a leading player in the Italian renewable O&M market. The Italian team, headed by Lorenzo Palombi and Alessandra Toschi, has a highly proficient local expertise. In addition BayWa r.e. covers the project business, providing project development, engineering, construction and finance.
